Our story
Church of Comedy is a grassroots comedy community founded in 2026 with one mission: spread the joy of comedy across the land.
Church of Comedy was established in 2026 by two comedians who believed that laughter is more than entertainment — it's a lifeline. Alana J and Cousin Kenny started this community from the ground up, with no building, no budget, and no shortage of jokes. What they had was a vision: to create a space where comedy brings people together, where every show feels like a gathering of friends, and where the joy of a good laugh is treated as something genuinely sacred.

Comedian, community builder, and firm believer that the right joke at the right moment can change everything.
Co-Founder
Comedian and connector. If you've laughed at a show in New Jersey recently, there's a good chance Cousin Kenny had something to do with it.
To spread the joy of comedy across the land — starting right here in New Jersey. We're a grassroots organization without a permanent home yet, but that's the point: we go where the people are. Every show, open mic, and community gathering is a step toward something bigger. One day we'll have a brick-and-mortar home, and when we do, it'll be because this community helped build it.
We're just getting started. Your support — whether it's showing up, spreading the word, or throwing a few dollars our way — helps us keep the lights on and the laughs coming.
